Billabong Home stay situated at off the south-eastern coast of Sabah, known as Mabul island which become popular place among budget divers due to its near to Sipadan Island who eager to travel looking for one of the best dive site in the world is a good reason for them to escape looking place to chill out and at the same time to have mind and body healing.
I was amazed with natural culture there when I visited one of the villages near by at Mabul Island. The villagers rich with smiling face make me felt like an old friends not meeting each other for a while in long period and sometimes I also felt like I’m living in other civilization when looked at the children running happily when their father back home with fishes and some catches for a dinner and for them to survive.
There is no car, concrete house, mall and place for entertainment. In my thought, the children only dreams to have their own boat for them to do fishing to full fill day after day living. When night comes, the place turn to quite and peace. Thus make my ear attracted to some noise of whispering children and sometimes the water clicking like someone throws the stone into the water. My eyes searching for the sound and I found a few boats near by at my home stay, ride by kids with rod made by them, fishing not far away from their home. Seems like thus activity enough for them to enjoy and entertain their nightlong.
By staying at Mabul Island for 5 days and 4 nights, I did scuba diving at Mabul Island, Kapalai Island and of course Sipadan Island a place must dive. My thought again was knock by the beauty underwater world at Sipadan Island. The wall diving was fantastic and remarkable with no words to describe. At time, when I was dive at Sipadan, my breathing was too fast because I was so excited with the marine life. To many things I saw to list it down but school of barracuda fish, parrot bum head, trivially, batfish and definitely not to be miss with turtle cause its everywhere.
